What is triple base ISO?
Triple-base ISO delivers the best signal-to-noise ratio at multiple amplifications. Canon's cutting-edge 6K BSI sensor measures at three base ISOs – 800, 3200, and 12800 ISO* – choose between them, or use auto-switching and the EOS C80 will pick the optimal setting.
The basics: BSI sensors
The backside illuminated (BSI) sensor's improved architecture places circuity underneath the sensor plane. Benefits include increased dynamic range, auto-focus and rolling shutter performance.

In Virtual Production and VFX workflows, camera metadata is essential to producing professional results. The EOS C80 and Canon RF mount lenses let you extract every drop of metadata – from ISO to f-stop and even distortion correction – so your post process becomes smoother than ever.
