Designed for flexibility in both studio and on-location environments, the DECIMATOR MD-DUCC Multi-Definition Down/Up/Cross Converter handles SD, HD and 3G-SDI inputs with ease, delivering outputs via SDI, HDMI, and component, composite or Y/C connections. It automatically recognises the incoming signal and preserves a full 10-bit processing path, ensuring consistent, high-quality results. With seamless up, down and cross conversion across supported formats, simply choose your desired output and the unit takes care of the rest—no manual adjustment required. It effortlessly manages both HD to SD and SD to HD workflows.

Equipped with motion-adaptive deinterlacing, the converter also supports aspect ratio adjustments between 16:9, 14:9 and 4:3. It offers complete versatility with HD to HD, HD to SD, SD to HD and SD to SD conversion modes. Audio monitoring is equally comprehensive, featuring 16-channel metering with the ability to select any of the four embedded SDI audio groups independently. The integrated graticule generator includes Action Safe, Title Safe and Centre Cross guides—particularly valuable when converting HD footage for SD viewing, helping to keep important visuals and text within safe areas. Text overlay capability is also built in.

In terms of connectivity, the unit provides an SDI loop-through, dual SDI outputs, a single HDMI output, and three BNC connections supporting component, composite and Y/C signals. Both analogue and AES audio outputs are available via two RCA connectors, while GPI trigger functionality is accessible through an RJ-35 port. Supplied with a locking power connection, the unit is designed to minimise the risk of accidental power interruption during operation.
